CALL TO WORSHIP
CALL TO WORSHIP
In the beginning was the word and the Spirit moving over the
face of waters.
We rejoice in your new creation, O God, by your Spirit
coursing through baptism’s waters.
And God spoke – and God saw that is was good.
We gather to hear and follow your living Word,
as your beloved children. The Ministers Annual Manual page 213
* HYMN #99 “Christ For Us You Were Baptized”
PRAYER OF APPROACH
In the waters of baptism, O God, You claimed your Son.
You gave him power through the Holy Spirit, and revealed your
hope for all humankind. In the waters of baptism, we claim Christ
as Lord. We share the inheritance and receive power; we
proclaim the kingdom and the promise. We rejoice in the claim
that you call us your beloved sons and daughters, whom you love
and with whom you are pleased. (Clergy Journal Sept/Oct 2011 page 26)
(A Moment of silence)
Thank you that you are with us as we pray together saying:
Our Father ….. Amen.
