Good morning!
Good morning!
Welcome to our special service of worship!
We are happy to be here today!
We come to celebrate on this Recognition Sunday!
We come to praise our maker!
We are growing as God’s children.
We are all part of God’s family.
Let us worship the Gardener, our great and amazing Father!
Let us worship our God together!
PRAYER OF APPROACH (in unison)
Loving Father, on this special Recognition Sunday, we come to
celebrate with joy in our hearts! You call us together each week
to grow as your Church family. We are so thankful for all the
talented people who share in this “growing experience”. We
thank all who come to teach, to learn, to sing, to worship, to dance
and to celebrate their faith. As we worship together this day, help
us to appreciate each other and to rejoice as your devoted
followers, spreading your Fruit of the Spirit to others. Amen
* HYMN OF PRAISE “I’ve Got The Joy”

Down in my heart to stay!

I've got the love of Jesus in my heart.

learning, and the growing that has been a part of our Sunday School
this past year. We celebrate the joy we know in being part of this
Church family!
All: We celebrate the ministry of all the teachers and
leaders, who have taught our young people and who
have been here to encourage the growth of their faith.
TEACHERS/LEADERS: We celebrate the opportunities we have
had to share our faith with these young people and to watch
them grow as God’s children.
CHILDREN: We are happy to be able to learn about God and his
love for us. We are happy to be part of this Church family.

TEACHERS/LEADERS: We say “thank you” to the young people
for being part of our Sunday School, and to the congregation
for their support and encouragement.

such beautiful music with us. Their love, laughter and

CHOIR: We say “thank you” to all of you for your love and support!
All: We say “thank you” to God for bringing us together in this
church, and for letting us know that we are loved and cared
for. We give thanks for God’s patience as he watches us
grow the Fruit of the Spirit.
May we rejoice in the Lord always!
PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING (in unison)
We thank you today, O God, for the witness of our congregation
to the children in our midst, especially those of our Sunday
School teachers and helpers who fulfill, in a special way, the
vows we take as your people to nurture those who have been
baptized into Christ. We pray for our church and Sunday
School members, both young and old. Watch over those who
teach and lead, and those who learn and follow. Give to our
teachers and leaders a good rest and lead them and us by
your Spirit, so that when Sunday School begins again in
the Fall, everyone may be renewed and excited. Help us grow
the Fruit of the Spirit to love one another, care for one another
and support one another. Amen
PRAISES AND PRAYERS
THE LORD’S PRAYER
* HYMN OF FAITH “Jesus Wants Me For A Sunbeam”
1. Jesus wants me for a sunbeam, to shine for him each day;
In every way try to please him, at home, at school, at play.
CHORUS
A sunbeam, a sunbeam,
Jesus wants me for a sunbeam;
A sunbeam, a sunbeam,
I'll be a sunbeam for him.
2. Jesus wants me to be loving, and kind to all I see;
Showing how pleasant and happy his little one can be.
3. I will ask Jesus to help me to keep my heart from sin,
Ever reflecting his goodness, and always shine for him.
4. I'll be a sunbeam for Jesus; I can if I but try;
Serving him moment by moment, then live with him on high.
* CLOSING BLESSING (said in unison as we hold hands)
God plants the seeds, we help them sprout,
Look at the precious fruit all about.
Together we grow, together we stand,
Deed by deed, hand by hand.
God’s love in us grows like a tree,
Let everyone see His love in me.
