WELCOME
CALL TO WORSHIP
Seek the LORD while he may be found;
call on him while he is near.
Let the wicked forsake their ways; and the unrighteous
their thoughts.
Let them return to the LORD, that he may have mercy on them,
And to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
(Isaiah 55:6-7)
* HYMN #123 “Hosanna, Loud Hosanna”
PRAYER OF APPROACH
Delivering God, we enter into the story, awaiting your coming in
a most surprising way – unrehearsed, without ceremony, on an
unridden donkey. Receive each prayer which we have offered,
O Christ, and touch our lives as you pass by ...
Our Father Amen.

* COMMUNION HYMN #459 “Here, O My Lord, I See You”
COMMUNION INVITATION The Great Thanksgiving
God be with you.
And also with you.
Lift up your hearts!
We lift them up to Christ.
Let us give thanks to the Spirit.
It is right and good to give thanks and praise
to the Spirit who unites us as one.
In the beginning God’s creative Spirit moved. God spoke,
and there was beauty: the mighty stands of red cedar,
the scrub brush of the northern plain and the scattered branches
of the dying birch are mine and they are beautiful. The crashing
waves of the mighty sea, the babbling waters of the spring brook
and the still waters of the stagnant ponds are mine and they are
beautiful. The windswept plains of grass and farm, the jagged
mountains of rock and ice and the cracked soil of the arid desert
are mine and they are beautiful. The majestic animals
of the African savannah, the delicate butterflies of the summer
fields and the swarms of ants beneath your feet are mine and they
are beautiful. The star-filled heavens, the clouds and the blue skies
and each drop of rain is mine and they are beautiful. And you too
are mine, whether strong or weak, rich or poor, whomever or
whatever, and you are beautiful. We are created beautiful and in-
breathed by the Spirit, and the Spirit of the Lord is where it wishes.
It moves across sea and desert, through season and time.
And we know neither whence it comes nor where it goes but it does
dwell in and among us seeking justice, compassion, and love for us
all. As it caresses the grace of the newborn child, it will also lift the
soul of the withered nomad. With Pentecostal fury or the softness
of a spring breeze it comes so we may feel it and be born within.
WORDS OF INSTITUTION
REMEMBER
We remember as we travel through history; travel through time,
and remember. We remember Jesus’ death and celebrate his
resurrection, awaiting with Spirited hope his coming again, his call
to bring peace and justice within and without, proclaiming the
mystery of our faith. We yearn to feel and see you as you bless us
at this table.
DISTRIBUTION
PRAYER AFTER COMMUNION
We are children of the universe to whom God speaks from this
table of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. It is through You I
live. Peace comes through You. Equality comes through You.
Hope comes through You. You are my beloved child bid to do
my work. Amen.
* CLOSING HYMN #658 “O Love That Will Not Let Me Go”
* COMMISSIONING
Let us go out turning to “About Face,
Preparing ourselves for that which is to come,
“Good Friday”.
“Abide With Me” #436 VU
Abide with me; fast falls the evening tide;
The darkness deepens; Lord, with me abide;
When other helpers fail, and comforts flee,
Help of the helpless, O abide with me.
