PRAYER OF APPROACH
Come, Spirit, gather us as one. Gather us for worship and praise;
gather us to be formed in your word and your ways. Come, Spirit,
scatter us as your Body Of Christ for the sake of this God-loved
world. We bow together to pray the prayer your Son Jesus Christ
has taught us saying… Our Father ….. Amen.

PRAYER OF CONFESSION
O Holy Spirit, our inspiration and our hope, forgive us if we only
look for you in smooth, clear words and calm places. When the
sounds are complex or unfamiliar, it is all too easy for us to close
our ears.
We often make up our minds and remain fixed, listening
to one side of politics only, secure in our assumptions
and convictions. Sometimes we find the world and its
issues too complex and settle for leaving the big issues to
others and concentrating on simple activities near to home.
Then, sometimes, it seems much more comfortable to stay
gathered here in the familiar places for faith rather than
scattering ourselves abroad and opening ourselves to your wider
life and vision. In your kindness, forgive us now, we pray.
WORDS OF ASSURANCE
The Spirit hovers like a dove of peace over our lives, waiting to
give us new gifts each day. When we pause and face ourselves,
owning the truth, God never refuses to gather us into the
harmony of love. We are forgiven. Life is restored and renewed.
