CALL TO WORSHIP
Good morning!
Good morning!
Welcome to our Special Service of Worship!
We are happy to be here today!
We come to celebrate on this Recognition Sunday!
We come to praise our God!
God is our Rock and our Salvation.
On Christ, the solid rock, we stand.
All other ground is sinking sand.
God is our Redeemer. Listen to his teachings.
On Christ, the solid rock, we stand.
All other ground is sinking sand.
God is our truth. Obey his word.
On Christ, the solid rock, we stand.
All other ground is sinking sand.
God is our Rock and our Salvation.
On Christ, the solid rock, we stand.
All other ground is sinking sand.
Let us worship the Rock, our great and amazing God!
Let us worship our God together!

PRAYER OF APPROACH (in unison)
Loving Father, on this special Recognition Sunday,
we come to celebrate with joy in our hearts!
You call us together to be your Church, to stand firm on the
solid Rock. We are here and have answered your call.
Today we want to thank our teachers, leaders, workers and
supporters. We are so thankful for all the talented people who share with us here: we thank all who come to teach,
to learn, to sing, to worship, to dance and to celebrate their faith.
As we worship together this day, help us to appreciate each other
and to rejoice as your faithful followers, spreading your light
and love to others. Amen

God is my shelter and my strength.

My God is always ready to help me!
I will not be afraid, even in times of trouble.
My God is the rock of my strength!
My God Almighty is here beside me.
My God is always here to love me!
I can see the glorious works of my Lord.
My God blesses me with good things!
I listen to God when he speaks to me and says,
“Be silent and know that I am God!”
God is my Rock and my Fortress,
I will sing with gladness, O God of Israel!

PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING Let us join in a prayer of thanksgiving. Let us pray together: We thank you today, O God, for the witness of our
congregation to the children in our midst, especially that of
our Sunday School teachers and helpers who fulfill, in a
special way, the vows we take as your people to nurture those who have been baptized into Christ. We pray for our
church and Sunday School members, both young and old.
Watch over those who teach and lead, and those who learn and follow. Give to our teachers and leaders a good rest and
lead them and us by your Spirit, so that when Sunday School
begins again in the Fall, everyone may be renewed and
excited. Help us to love one another, to care for one another
and to support one another.   Amen
